In July 2005, my friend Luke Bateman and I embarked on the beginning of a seven-week journey around America in an attempt to break the strangest of the country's laws. After covering more than 12,000 miles, being caught in two horrific storms, held at gunpoint by three undercover Chicago police officers, and still finding the time to visit the majority of the Hooters restaurants stateside, the following books are the result of what turned out to be an epic adventure of media interest on an embarrassingly large scale and absurd American encounters.

People who wish to purchase the United Kingdom edition of the book (which the publishers assure me is suppose to resemble Bateman and I as Action Man dolls and not – as I helpfully pointed out - Guantanamo Bay prisoners) can do so by clicking on the cover to the left.

If you like your books with less use of the letter U, and/or live in the United States or Canada, you can buy the book by directing your mouse-holding hand and applying direct pressure onto the left mouse button when the cursor hovers above the right-hand-side cover.
